Lauren Book for State Senate (“the Campaign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at laurenbook.com (the “Site”), how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.
By using the Site or providing information to the Campaign, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you sign up for updates, volunteer, request a yard sign, contact us, or make a contribution, we may collect your name, email address, mailing or ZIP code, phone number, volunteer interests, and any other information you choose to provide.
Contribution information. If you make a contribution, payment is processed by our third-party donation processor. We may collect information required to process and report your contribution, which can include your name, address, employer, occupation, and the amount and date of your contribution. We do not store full payment-card numbers on our servers.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring pages, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see below).
Information from other sources. We may receive information about you from publicly available sources, voter files, and partner organizations, and may combine it with information we collect through the Site.
How We Use Your Information
- To send you campaign news, updates, events, and other communications;
- To coordinate volunteer activities and respond to your requests;
- To solicit, process, and acknowledge contributions, and to comply with campaign-finance laws;
- To conduct get-out-the-vote and voter-education efforts;
- To operate, maintain, analyze, and improve the Site and our outreach;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues; and
- To comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, understand how it is used, and measure and improve our advertising. This includes third-party analytics and advertising services such as Google Analytics. These providers may set their own cookies and collect information about your activity across websites.
You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of certain advertising cookies through tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info). Because there is not yet a common industry standard, we do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

- Affiliated and like-minded organizations. We may exchange or share supporter information with the candidate’s affiliated committees or organizations that share our goals. You may opt out of this sharing by contacting us.
- Legal protection. To protect the rights, property, or safety of the Campaign, our supporters, or others, and in connection with legal process.
Contributions & Campaign Finance
Political contributions are not tax-deductible. Contributions are subject to applicable legal limits and reporting requirements. Information you provide in connection with a contribution may be disclosed to the appropriate election authorities and may become part of the public record as required by law.
